School Social Worker Probationary Position: Grades 9-12 Support students enrolled in our Flexible Support Program who experience social-emotional challenges and require flexible scheduling throughout their school day.Provide individual and group counseling mandates to our students.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create and implement behavior support plans. Maintain extensive knowledge of therapeutic approaches to assist students in coping with personal and psychological issues that affect their school performance, behavior, and socialization. Assist students in employing de-escalation strategies during unanticipated crises. Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, individuals receiving services, families, and outside agencies. Assist teachers and administrators in identifying emotional dysregulation amongst our student population and share effective strategies to support and interact with these students. Provide information for and/or referrals to outside support services or agencies to help students and their families deal with social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges. Develop and implement professional development training for educational staff and parents as requested. Qualifications: Must hold a NYS Certificate in School Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) 3 years licensed experience preferred
