The successful candidate will teach two sections of Life Science: Biology, and two sections of AP Environmental Science. They will play a crucial role in advancing our students' understanding and skills in preparation for the Regents Exam and AP Assessments.RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach two sections of Life Science: Biology and two sections of AP Environmental Science.Deliver engaging and effective 3-dimensional instruction aligned with the New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS).Prepare Life Science Biology students for the new edition of the Regents Exam.Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and engagement..Design and implement lesson plans, assessments, and projects that meet the diverse learning needs of students.Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development activities to enhance instructional practices.Maintain ongoing communication with students, parents, guardians, and school administration about student progress and classroom activities.QUALIFICATIONS:NYS teaching certification in Biology 7-12Demonstrated experience teaching Living Environment and AP Environmental Sciences.Familiarity with 3-dimensional learning and the New York State Science Learning Standards.Proven ability to engage students with diverse learning styles.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Passion for teaching and commitment to student success..
