Brentwood Union Free School District is looking for Teaching Assistant's to fill multiple vacant positions. Teaching Assistant Job Duties Pursuant to Commissioner’s regulations, a teaching assistant serves under the general supervision of a licensed or certified teacher and provides direct instructional service to students including the following functions:Work with individual Students or groups of students on special instructional projects;Provide the teacher with general information about students to aid the teacher in the development of appropriate learning experience;Utilize his or her own special skills abilities by assisting the instructional programs in such areas as foreign language, arts, crafts, music and similar subjects;Provide the teachers with general information about students to aid the teacher in the development of appropriate learning experience;Assist Students in the use of instructional resources and assist in the development of instructional materials;Utilize his or her own special skills and abilities by assisting with instructional programs in such areas as foreign language, arts, crafts, music and similar subjects;Assist in related instructional work as required . Requirements to complete application.To apply for a teaching assistant position, you must have a photo ID, original Social Security card and proof of a minimum of 9 college credits (Educational credits).Teaching assistant positions are initially filled on a call-in (substitute) basis.
