Science – Chemistry & General Science 7-12 Qualifications:Must hold NYS Chemistry 7-12 CertificationSuccessful public school teaching experience preferredResponsibilities:Ensure your students achieve learning outcomes in the subject of Chemistry by instructing students in a clear, concise and engaging manner, and regularly preparing lessons thatincorporate NYSSLAS into your instruction. Supervisor student’s laboratory work. Incorporate the school’s objectives into your curriculum by remaining up to date with mission and initiatives. Attend staff development days to improve your skills and receive help and feedback from colleagues. Regularly communicate with parents and legal guardians regarding child’s performance, track and record student progress and keep records up to date for progress reports and report cards. Review academic needs and execute plans for improvement by providing additional help and support. Maintain student attendance records and grades. Prepare course materials such as homework assignments, labs and additional required documents.
