The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District is seeking highly motivated candidates to join the district's award-winning communications team, filling a vacancy for a full-time communications specialist. This is a management/confidential position that includes a competitive benefits package, including health/vision/dental insurance and paid vacation time. The starting salary will be between $45,000 and $50,000, depending on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.The successful candidate will have:A passion for public education and service to the communityExceptional written and oral communication skills – experience in news writing using AP style is a must!Willingness and the ability to learn new skillsThe ability to work collaboratively as a contributing member of a teamInterpersonal skills, including tact, patience, and courtesyThe ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, leaders, and the general publicThe ability to work according to set schedules and meet deadlines Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, English/writing, journalism, or a related field OR an associate's degree with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
