The Broadalbin-Perth Central School District is seeking candidates for a full-time teaching assistant position at B-P Jr./Sr. High School starting Sept. 1, 2022. The successful candidate will work with students in grades 7-12, individually and in groups, on special instructional projects including, but not limited to, teaching students:Self-regulationSocial skillsEmotional controlImpulse controlAppropriate communicationIn collaboration with faculty, the successful candidate will implement social-emotional learning curricula, behavior plans, and behavioral supports. The district will provide training in crisis response following Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) methods. The successful candidate will work with and report to the district's coordinated care team and perform other duties as determined by the building administrator.At minimum, candidates must hold an associate's degree and a valid New York state teaching assistant certification or be eligible for state certification prior to Sept. 1, 2022.The hourly wage for this position is $15.98 per hour.
