Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in library science or library and information science.Valid certification as a school library media specialist.Experience working with elementary-aged students in a library or education setting.Proficiency in Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards. Familiarity with library management systems and education technology tools. Experience collaborating on inquiry-based research projects. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the elementary library, including cataloging, circulation, and collection development.Teach information literacy skills, including research techniques, digital citizenship, and responsible use of technology.Assist students in selecting books and other materials that match their interests and reading levels.Support students in using technology tools for research, multimedia projects, and creative expression.Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and implement lessons that integrate library resources and support curriculum objectives. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
