Analyze data using Educlimber and review MTSS team reports to ensure that proactive measures are taken to close gaps and remove barriers that impede the success of learners. Build the capacity of special educators, aides, teaching assistants, clinicians through the development of rigorous and varied professional learning opportunities along with forms of job embedded collaborative inquiry. Oversee student registration and residency program, providing supervision and support to District Registrar & Residency Officer.Implements all priorities identified by the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and Assistant Superintendents.Serve as the Mc-Kinney-Vento LiaisonKey Responsibilities in Collaboration with Assistant Directors of PPSSupervises K-12 Pupil Personnel teachers and support staff.Facilitates team meetings on a regular basis with programs and staff to discuss student needs, parental concerns, curriculum and instructional methodologies.Chairs meetings of the Committee on Special Education, 504 Committee and the Committee on Preschool Special Education.Assures that CSE, CPSE meetings occur with a legally-constituted committee, with all required members present or appropriate waivers signed.Assures timely follow-up of CSE recommendations regarding arrangements for services and evaluations, etc.Maintains familiarity with the IEP Direct Special Education student database and documentation system, and assures accuracy of clerical data entry and IEP production.Serves as liaison to district and community organizations to provide information regarding the CSE and CPSE process.Participates in meetings of the BOCES-sponsored CSE Roundtable, the Liaison Officers group, and other regional meetings pertinent to pupil personnel services.Assures continuous professional learning by attending and participating in appropriate conferences and workshops.Assesses annually the continuum of district programs and projected needs of students to adapt or create new in-district programs.Maintains ongoing communication with out-of-district programs to monitor each student’s progress and appropriateness to return to a district program or less restrictive environment.Apply on OLAS
