TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE: Food Preparation: -Assist in preparing breakfast, lunch and snacks -Wash, peel, cut, and portion fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients -Help cook and heat foods according to recipes and meal plans -Prepare salads, sandwiches, and simple menu items Food Service: -Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner -Ensure proper portion control during meal service Refill food trays and serving stations as needed -Assist with special dietary meals when required Sanitation and Safety: -Follow food safety and sanitation regulations -Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pan, and kitchen equipment -Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, counters, and dining areas -Properly store food and monitor temperatures of food itens Inventory and Storage: Receive and store food deliveries -Rotate stock using proper food storage procedures -Report low inventory levels to supervisors -Assist with organizing refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas General Support: -Follow directions from the Cook Manager and/or Food Service Director -Help set up and close down kitchen operations each day -Operate kitchen equipment safely Assist during special school events or catering functions Key Skills: -Basic food preparation and cooking skills -Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices -Ability to work as part of a team -Good communication and customer service skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights *6.25 HOURS A DAY **SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE
