- Periodically tours buildings, grounds, or other designated areas to ensure that doors, windows, and gates are properly secured and have not been tampered with.- Logs visitors in at a point of entry and gives out visitor badges to all who enter.- Reports any unusual conditions or situations to school administration.-Questions unauthorized personnel, and checks vehicles entering school property and grounds.-Ensures safety of school students, staff and persons using school property and premises, as required.-Monitors student behavior and activities during the school day and at after school activities. Reports any unusual or disruptive behavior to school administrators.- Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.-Ability to follow oral and written instructions.-Knowledge of principles and practices of building and grounds safety precautions.-Former law enforcement personnel highly preferred.
