The Bedford Central School District is seeking aSecretary To School AdministratorCentral OfficeHuman Resources Department 8:00am – 4:00pm/12-month positionAnticipated Start: July 2025Applicants are subject to Civil Service approval/exam for this title – Secretary to School Administrator (or Secretary to Principal) and must be reachable on the Civil Service list or hold permanent status in the title, or be on the provisional list of individuals who have taken the exam this year. All candidates must meet the requirements listed below. Westchester County makes the determination of a candidate’s eligibility.MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and either: (a) five (5) years of secretarial experience in support of higher level administrator(s), or a department or unit head, three (3) years of which must have involved the use of computer applications to maintain records and produce correspondence; or: (b) graduation from a post high school secretarial or business school with a degree or certificate* in secretarial sciences, office technology or closely related field and three (3) years of the specialized experience using computer applications as described in (a). SUBSTITUTION: Satisfactory completion of 30 college credits** may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the secretarial experience described above.
