BCSD has the following opportunities for Interns and Subs commencing with the 23/24 School Year:? School Internship Program: Interns are District employees who follow the teacher schedule and calendar. Provide coverage for certified and classified staff up to 4 days/week to insure the continuation of high-quality student learning. When not assigned to a coverage, assist students and gain a better understanding of the daily experience of being a classroom teacher by observing classes and attending meetings, etc. whenever possible. School placement will be determined by the area of specialization for the Intern whenever possible. Attend professional development and internship seminars in support of the internship experience. Successful candidates will be enrolled in a graduate education program and must display maturity and good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and a sincere appreciation for working with diverse students in a dynamic learning environment.
