Duties and Responsibilities:The Teacher will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention services to students in the subject of mathematics. The teacher will provide small group instruction to students in grades K-5. The requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Exceptional understanding of mathematical concepts and ability to scaffold mathematical understandings in a support model;Administering diagnostic assessments; Provide scientifically researched intervention strategies in math;Creating and implementing a daily intervention group schedule;Ability to travel and work with staff and administrators in two schools;Ability to collaborate with RTI TOSA teachers;Willing to attend professional learning sessions on best teaching practices;Able to deliver building level Professional Development and coach classroom teachers on best practices;Attendance at district department level meetings with Asst. Supt. of Curriculum and Student SupportAttendance at IST meetings when necessary;This position is federally funded through Title I. NYS Certification in Childhood 1-6 and/or Students with Disabilities RequiredCompensation Per BTA Contract
