The successful candidate is one with proven ability as a rigorous academic leader in curriculum and instruction; has prior experience in a multicultural setting; is an innovative instructional leader; and is an effective communicator with a proven record of developing positive relationships among students, families, and school staff. The candidate must be able to demonstrate: Strong background in providing instructional leadership at the middle school level in order to develop, implement, and supervise high quality educational programs;Leadership in developing and sustaining a school culture that fosters rigorous instructional expectations for all students;Solid understanding of the needs of diverse learner and systems of prevention and intervention to support learner needs;Knowledge of the NYS Learning Standards & 6-8 curriculum; research based practice for instructional design & delivery; and assessment systems for student learning;Demonstrated skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform critical decisions at the classroom or school level required;Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills, required;Knowledge, experience and/or prior training qualification with Danielson 2011, Teacher Evaluation Rubrics preferred. Salary Range: Commensurate with experience (BEAA Contract) Requirements: Valid New York State administrative certification SAS/SDA or SBL required. NYS principal, assistant principal, or district administrator experience preferred.
