Early Childhood Special Educator II (Float)Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:30pmPrimary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Evaluate and provide appropriate special education services to assigned children.Oversee activities of assigned teacher assistants and aides; communicate appropriately and in a timely manner with families of assigned children.Increase professional knowledge in areas relevant to children enrolled in program.Qualifications:Knowledge of Early Childhood Education and Child Development.Master's Degree in Special Education required.Permanent New York State Certification in Special Education (N-12 or Birth-Grade 2) required.Minimum one year early childhood related experience to plan individual education plans to meet the special needs of each child preferred.Prior early childhood teaching experience with a special education preschool required.
