Our mission is to educate and support children of all abilities.We are seeking a Per Diem Special Education Teacher to provide appropriate special education services to assigned children.We offer:Competitive PayNew York State Sick leave (NYSSL)Wellness incentivesIn this role, you will:Deliver individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and follow lesson plans provided by classroom teachers.Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and participation.Implement behavior management strategies and collaborate with the behavior support team when needed.Supervise students throughout the school day, both in and out of the classroom.Guide and support teacher assistants/aides during instructional activities.Communicate effectively with team members and families regarding student progress and needs.Follow all school, state, and agency policies, including attendance logs, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards.Participate in required training, meetings, and professional development activities.We require:Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.NYS Certification in Special Education.One (1) year of related experience planning individual education plans to meet the special needs of a child or children preferred.Prior special education teaching experience preferred.Physical capacity: Aspects may include, but are not limited to, lifting and transferring of a child/student.Demonstrate Cultural CompetencySpecial Education Teachers, for immediate consideration, please apply now!We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, Proud of our Workforce Diversity.
