The Blind Brook - Rye Union Free School District is a high performing school district that centers on helping students of all ages and abilities achieve their potential. Our community needs an energetic, dedicated, and knowledgeable individual to teach high school chemistry courses. NYS 7-12 certification in Chemistry is required. Qualifications include: Experience teaching high school Honors/AP level Science Thorough content knowledge Ability to develop effective, standard-aligned lessons that support student learning and achievement of school academic objectives, benchmarks, and state learning standards Knowledge of and compliance with student IEPs. Proficiency in building relationships with students and their families Capacity to collaborate effectively with other teachers, administrators, and staff members to support student learning The ability to engage in self-reflection regarding performance and professional growth and to actively seek professional learning opportunities Blind Brook is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
