Able to perform a wide variety of skilled work in the repair, maintenance and servicing of buildings & grounds. Work orders are provided by Maintenance Foreman or Director of Facilities. Maintains heating, air-conditioning and ventilating systems including cleaning and simple repairing of units and/or lines. Performs routine electrical maintenance and repairs. Installs simple electrical circuits such as outlets and light switches and able to install and replace light fixtures and minor electrical equipment. Maintains and provides routine repairs of plumbing systems such as leaky pipes and faucets, replacement of faulty fixtures and fittings, including toilets and sinks. Able to clear drains and clogs and make emergency repairs.Able to complete carpentry builds such as cabinets, stairs, railings, floors and simple supporting structures such as stage. Can install, replace or repair windows, doors, hardwood flooring.Builds and repairs simple masonry structures.Prepares surfaces for staining & painting. Mix and applies paint or stains to various structures and objects.Repair, replace roofing, leaders, gutters and flashing. Repairs, replaces and installs vinyl, ceramic, porcelain tiles.Fully benefited position including medical, dental, vision, and NYS pension system. 40 hours/weekly. Salary dependent on skill set and experience.
