The Blind Brook - Rye Union Free School District is a high performing school district that centers on helping students of all ages and abilities achieve their potential. Our community needs an energetic, dedicated, and knowledgeable individual who will work collaboratively to plan and teach some combination of algebra, geometry, and/or calculus courses. NYS Mathematics 7-12 certification is required. Qualifications include:Experience teaching high school mathA thorough understanding of New York State K12 Mathematics Learning Standards and deep knowledge of associated contentAbility to develop effective, standard-aligned lessons that support student learning and achievement of school academic objectives, benchmarks, and state learning standardsKnowledge of and compliance with student IEPs. Proficiency in building relationships with students and their familiescapacity to collaborate effectively with other teachers, administrators, and staff members to support student learningThe ability to engage in self-reflection regarding performance and professional growth and to actively seek professional learning opportunitiesBlind Brook is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
