Description:The Blind Brook- Rye Union Free School District is seeking a qualified and passionate Teacher of the Hearing Impaired to join our team for a .1 FTE position. This role involves servicing students in grades K-8 across district schools as part of their IEP-mandated support.Responsibilities include:Providing direct and/or consultative services to students in accordance with their IEPsCollaborating with classroom teachers, related service providers, families, and support staffSupporting access to instruction, classroom accommodations, and use of assistive technologyMonitoring and documenting student progress and providing input for CSE meetingsTraveling between schools- 2 consults at the elementary school and 2 direct services at the MS.Qualifications:NYS Certification as Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Teacher of the Hearing Impaired)Experience working with students with hearing impairments across a range of ages and service delivery models preferredStrong communication and collaboration skillsSalary: As per Federation of Teachers contractTo apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, copy of certification(s), and references via OLAS.
