To this end we look to hire energetic, dedicated individuals who will work collaboratively to provide our students with a supportive and welcoming learning environment.The Blind Brook - Rye Union Free School District is looking for a dynamic, innovative individual to supervise the Fabrication Lab (FabLab) that was recently constructed at the Blind Brook Middle School/High School campus. This individual will be a key component in developing the District's Design, Innovation, Creation and Expression (DICE) Program (formerly known as the STEAM program).10-month position. Salary commensurate with teacher’s contractAssist with the assessment of K-12 STEAM-based learning needs including equipment, materials and supplies.Manage newly built Middle School/High School FabLab including maintenance and scheduling.Work with faculty to communicate and/or promote information about students’ projects and progress.Plan for and support implementation of an event to showcase STEAM-based activities and lessons.Schedule, supervise, and support students and teachers working in the FabLab.Train students and teachers in the safe and effective use of FabLab equipment.Reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.Applicants must have: Valid New York State teaching license.
