The Babylon Union Free School District has an opening for a Registered Nurse (School Nurse).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Monitor and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies). Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.). Assist with school physicals. Review immunization records/physical information and track immunizations. Complete all necessary paperwork regarding accident reports for students & faculty Maintain accurate and confidential student health records. - Monitor and track communicable health diseases - Health Education & Promotion - Educate students, staff, and families on health topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. Promote healthy lifestyle choices and wellness initiatives. Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations. Participate in the development and implementation of school health policies. Coordinate immunization programs and monitor communicable diseases. Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment. Document all health services provided. Participate in school safety planning/committee and emergency preparedness.QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a license issued by New York State to practice as a registered professional nurse.Contract Salary.
