The Argyle Central School District has an opening for the following full time, probationary tenure track position in the School Social Worker area. Valid NYS Certification as a School Social Worker and LCSW or LMSW required.The social worker will work with teachers, parents, and school leaders to develop plans and strategies to improve students’ academic performance and social emotional development. Consult with appropriate persons to assist students in improving conditions which affect behavior, social adjustment and performance in school;Provide direct counseling services to students and parents as needed;Complete all reports that are required for proper agencies;Attend CSE meetings when requested;Knowledge of and linkage to community agencies and resources available to families and children;WIlling to be flexible and multitask as needed on demand; Crisis Consultations and Crisis Intervention with students, parents, and other stakeholders as needed.
