Anticipated Special Education Teacher - Concord Road Elementary SchoolQualifications: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the Ungraded Special Class Program, in collaboration with parents/guardians, related service providers, and other members of the educational team. Experience with collecting behavioral data, identifying areas of need, and making recommendations for teaching alternative skills/behaviors. Ability to differentiate instruction and utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to meet the unique learning needs of students Implement a curriculum aligned with the NYS Learning Standards. Create a supportive and structured learning environment that promotes student engagement, independence, and social-emotional development. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Provide ongoing assessment of student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic and functional skill growth. Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Supervise support staff, ensuring they are deployed effectively and assigned tasks that align with the needs of the classroom and individual students. Experience initiating outreach to families to promote the generalization of skills from school to home
