Altmar Parish Williamstown Central School District (APW CSD) is seeking a full time probationary Elementary School teacher with salary based on experience and the APW Faculty Association contract. Those who are eager to help grow the school’s curriculum, develop innovative instructional techniques, and accelerate learning for students so they are prepared for the future will be considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate passion and commitment both within their classrooms and among the broader community. APW CSD’s vision is every learner prepared for their individual chosen path. The elementary teacher position is a full time 10 month probationary with salary based on experience and the APW Faculty Association contract.The successful candidate:Creates thorough lesson plans that are aligned to the New York State standards.Administers and develops subject specific assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans.Assesses student progress towards learning targets, objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration.Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes, achieving established classroom objectives in support of the school improvement plan.Demonstrates and differentiates methods required to perform classroom and/or subject specific assignments for the purpose of providing an effective program that addressing the needs of individual student requirements.Experience of integrating technology into classroom instruction and experience with curriculum design are necessary.The teacher reports to the Principal.Qualifications:Only candidates with a valid NYS Certification in Elementary Education need apply. Dual certification in Special Education or Literacy preferred but not required.
