The Amagansett School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our elementary school team. The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanish language instruction to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade.Key Responsibilities:Curriculum Development: Design and implement effective Spanish language curriculum for elementary students, ensuring alignment with district standards and goals.Instructional Delivery: Deliver engaging and interactive Spanish language lessons that cater to various learning styles and abilities, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians regarding student performance.Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate Spanish language instruction with other subject areas and enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Teaching certification/license in Spanish or Foreign Language Education (K-6 certification preferred).Proven experience in teaching Spanish to elementary students, with a strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate instructional practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians.Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged.**Amagansett School is an equal opportunity employer.
