Middle School Academic Intervention Services TeacherVACANCY NOTICE Application Deadline: August 2, 2024 An anticipated vacancy exists for an AIS Teacher at the Alexandria Central School District, effective September 1, 2024. Successful teacher candidates will: Have ability to track and monitor students' academic progress as well as implement explicit instructional interventions. Have ability to make data driven decisions and use data to drive instructional practices.Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to meet the learning needs of all students.Adhere to a team-centered approach of instructional planning and delivery. Have a thorough knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards. Be able to communicate and model effective teaching strategies for adolescent math and literacy. Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate assessment in adolescent math and literacy.Appropriately integrate technology into the instructional program. Have a commitment to life-long learning as an integral part of a professional learning community. Have a positive attitude and love of children across grade-levels.Dual certifications preferred (Special Education & General Ed).
