Job descriptionPhysical TherapistJob Description: ACDS Scarsdale is a full-day special needs preschool program that offers a wide range of therapies to children ages 3-5. In addition to the preschool curriculum, children receive center-based physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We also provide family training and counseling. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment and offer our families education and encouragement to help their children reach their goals.ACDS Westchester is looking for a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in pediatrics to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team! The PT is responsible for the remediation of children with a wide range of disabilities/delays. The PT contributes goals to the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and will work on these target objectives throughout the school year. The PT will provide quality individual and group sessions in person while working at our center-based program (no traveling required).Key responsibilities of the Physical Therapist include:· The PT will provide and direct physical therapy services to students as per their IEP mandates.· The PT will develop treatment plans to achieve identified goals.· The PT will adhere to applicable principles and practices of physical therapy, APTA policies/procedures, and state regulations.· The PT will work collaboratively with OTs, SLP’s, school psychologists and classroom staff as needed to provide positive treatment outcomes.· The PT will work effectively with parents, teaching staff and other professionals directly involved in the care and treatment of the child to develop and monitor IEP services· The PT will complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely (e.g., daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews, etc.).· The PT will participate in meetings and consultations with education staff and the multidisciplinary team concerning the needs of each child as related to his/her mandated services and progress updates· The PT will be responsible for providing input into and when appropriate fabrication of child’s assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and orthotic appliance needs· The PT will comply with federal and state Physical Therapy regulations.Qualifications:· Valid New York State Physical Therapy license· Master’s Degree or Doctorate degree· Must have experience working with children· Bilingual skills are a plus, but not requiredExperience:· Pediatric PT experience preferred· New Graduates with Pediatric experience consideredJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From $77,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceMedical specialties:PediatricsSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Scarsdale, NY 10583: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)License/Certification:NYS Physical Therapy LicenseWork Location: In person
