In addition to the preschool curriculum, children receive center-based physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We also provide family training and counseling. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment and offer our families education and encouragement to help their children reach their goals.ACDS Pelham is looking for an Independent Contractor licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team! The SLP is responsible for the remediation of children with a wide range of disabilities/delays.Key responsibilities of the Physical Therapist include:The SLP will provide and direct speech and language services to students as per their IEP mandates.The SLP will develop treatment plans to achieve identified goals.The SLP will adhere to applicable principles and practices of speech-language pathology, ASHA policies/procedures, and state regulations.The SLP will work collaboratively with OTs, PT’s, school psychologists and classroom staff as needed to provide positive treatment outcomes.The SLP will work effectively with parents, teaching staff and other professionals directly involved in the care and treatment of the child to develop and monitor IEP servicesThe SLP will complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely (e.g., daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews, etc.).The SLP will participate in meetings and consultations with education staff and the multidisciplinary team concerning the needs of each child as related to his/her mandated services and progress updatesThe SLP will be responsible for determining necessity and/or implementation of any assistive technology needs and work with augmentative communication systems and devices such as PECS Qualifications:Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license Master’s Degree from an accredited programCCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)TSHH or TSSLD certificateExperience working with children is desirableBilingual skills are a plus but not requiredNew Graduates with pediatric experience considered
