Welcome to Solvay Union Free School District!
The Solvay Union Free School District is one of the oldest, independent school districts in central New York, organized in the late 1800’s. The District is comprised of the village of Solvay, the Lakeland area, and parts of the Town of Geddes and Camillus. A short drive provides access to malls, Syracuse Stage, the Landmark Theatre, the Civic Center, the Everson Museum, and the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.
Educating our students is our first priority. Our District has three school buildings with a diversity of programs.
Solvay Elementary School grades K-4
Solvay Middle School grades PreK, 5-8
Solvay High School grades 9-12
We have 1,450 students enrolled in our schools. Our students have excellent academic and extracurricular opportunities such as tuition-free college opportunities for students will continue with Solvay Success Academy and Solvay OCC Advantage programs. Solvay’s BEST (Building Education Success Together) program provides a variety of enrichment opportunities for elementary students. We have partnered with multiple agencies within Onondaga County and Peaceful Schools to offer support for our students.
