Requirements:NYS SDA or SDL certification and NYS Physical Education certificationOutstanding written and oral communication skillsAbility and desire to implement physical education, health, and athletic initiativesDuties and ResponsibilitiesAdminister and Coordinate the K-12 physical education and health programsSupervise, observe, and evaluate all K-12 physical education and health teachersPrepare and administer the budget for the physical education and health programsAssist in the recruiting process and recommend highly qualified individuals to fill openings in the physical education and health departmentsConduct periodic reviews and evaluations of the physical education and health programs and make recommended changes as appropriateAdminister and coordinate the interscholastic athletic programSupervise, observe, and evaluate all district coachesPrepare and administer the district's interscholastic athletic budgetAdminister all school district and Section 11 policies as they relate to athleticsPromote the athletic programs by establishing positive relationships with parents, booster club organizations and members of the communityAll other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Superintendent of Schools and central office administration.Interested candidates should sent a letter of interest and resume to Brian Heyward, Assistant Superintendent for human Resources via OLAS or bheyward@swr.k12.ny.us
