POSTINGPOSITION AVAILABLE2025-2026Wyandanch Memorial High SchoolSCHOOL COUNSELOR(Bilingual Preferred) Duties include but are not limited to:Participate in weekly counseling team meetings; Discuss Caseload Student Data as a PLC; Collect Data from Counseling Teams 3x per year (BOY/MOY/EOY); Implement Accountability Protocols; Support SWD Team with student scheduling information; Schedule students for courses based on graduation requirements; Ability to transpose foreign transcripts; Collaborate with other PPS colleagues including social workers, school psychologists, attendance teachers, and central enrollment staff; Collaborate with Building and District Administrators; Attend PD; Attend MeetingsMinimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in School Counseling; Active NYS School Counseling Certification; Proficient in Compliance Laws Regarding Cohorts; MTSS Alignment; Knowledgeable of ASCA Models; Capable of applying trauma-informed practices to addressing high-needs groups of students, including ELL’s/SWD’s /McKinney Vento Students; Spanish-speaking preferred.Immediate Supervisors: Dr. Peppericka Bonay-Martin, Director of Pupil Personnel Services/Mr. Paul Sibblies, Wyandanch Memorial High School Principal Duration: 2025-2026 School Year Salary: Per WTA Contract
