POSTINGPOSITIONS AVAILABLE2025-2026SUBSTITUTE GROUNDSKEEPERS & SUBSTITUTE MAINTENANCE MECHANICS GROUNDSKEEPER Duties include but are not limited to: Under direct supervision, performs duties such as cutting grass and weeds using hand tools and lawn mowers, removes leaves, snow, salts and sands driveways and sidewalks, checks working condition of equipment, cultivates, prunes, sprays and trims trees and shrubbery, burlaps trees and ties sacks around the roots, measuring and lining of athletic fields, perform other related work as required by supervisor.MAINTENANCE MECHANIC Duties Include but not limited to: skilled mechanic in one of the major craft or specialty areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electricity, mechanical and welding; heating and refrigeration, roofing. Perform related work as required. GROUNDSKEEPER Qualifications: High School Diploma, valid NY State Driver License, Groundskeeping experience preferred.MAINTENANCE MECHANIC Qualifications: Either completion of Vocational Education Courses in a vocational school program minimum of 2 years experience preferred; Valid NYS driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle to be operated.
