OLIVE MIDDLE SCHOOLBILINGUAL ENL & IMMIGRANT AIDE Duties include but are not limited to:¨ Providing support to Spanish Speaking ENL and Immigrant students in ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies¨ Assisting Certified teacher with instructional delivery¨ Supports teacher in the district approved curriculum to meet the individual needs of ENL and Immigrant students¨ Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and instruction for ENL and Immigrant students under the supervision of certified staff¨ Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere¨ Evaluates pupils’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports¨ Is available to students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day¨ Provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the student under the direction of the certified teacher¨ Creates an environment for learning and social development in accordance with the needs of the student populations he/she is charged with¨ Work collaboratively within the special and regular education teams at the building and district level¨ Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies¨ Maintain open line of communication between parents/teachers/districtMinimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, Spanish fluencyImmediate Supervisor: Dr. Shannon Burton, MLO Middle School PrincipalHours: 20 hours per week Duration: 2023-2024 School YearStipend: $20.00 per hour (pending Grant Funds) Apply on OLAS
