Job Description: Ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulations.Under the leadership of the Superintendent of Schools, responsible for the management of district resources as it relates to Special Education, School Guidance, School Psychologists, Attendance and Pupil Personnel Services. Including but not limited to overseeing CSE/CPSE process, referrals, evaluations, meetings, assisting/meeting with parents and Special Education staff. Oversee Grades Pre-K through 12 Social Workers, Guidance Counselors and Attendance. Monitor and supervise the Durg and Alcohol Community Coordinator. Monitor and supervise School Wellness Centers and Partnerships.Qualifications: NYS School District Leader CertificationNYS SWD Teacher, School Guidance, or School Attendance, or School Psychologist, or PPS related Certification.Prior Leadership experience in school district wide special education, Guidance, Attendance, Psychologist and/or PPS initiativesExperience Chairing CSE/CPSE meetingsStrong knowledge of Part 200 and Part 201 RegulationsHighly collaborative, results-oriented, adaptable, problem-solving self starter, meet the social-emotional needs of families, scholars and staffProven track record of improving school culture and implementing social/emotional systems that improve academic achievement and attendance.IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Dr. Gina Talbert, Superintendent of SchoolsEffective Date: July 1, 2023Salary: Commensurate with Experience
