OLIVE MIDDLE SCHOOL3x - ACADEMIC INTERVENTION READING TEACHER (AIS) Duties include but are not limited to: Knowledge of RTI & MTSS (Multi-Tier System Supports); Provideresources and Tier 1 & Tier 2 strategies to teachers; Work with students in grades 7-12 in the areas ofReading/Writing; Knowledge of the Next Generation Learning Standards; Provide targeted small groupinstruction including, but not limited to Tier 2 & Tier 3 interventions; Analyze student data and create action plans to meet the needs of the students; Knowledge of Running Records, Error Analysis, CalkinsWriting Rubrics and accurate record keeping; Collaborate with other interventionists and provide guidance to teaching assistants who support students in the area of Reading/Writing; Provide small group instruction to students in an effort to improve in ELA, reading and writing skillset; This support teacher will communicate with teachers and administrators to determine patterns of growth necessary to close the instructional gaps needed for student success in Reading; Additionally, the support teacher will communicate with building leaders, RTI teachers and content teachers to determine which students can benefit from targeted interventions as well as enhancements Qualifications: NYS Reading/Literacy Teacher Certification Immediate Supervisor: Dr. Shannon Burton, PrincipalEffective Date: August 31, 2023Annual Salary: Per WTA ContractFiling Deadline: April 28, 2023
