Plan culturally responsive lessons/units to a rigorous curriculum aligned with NYS Next Generation Standards.2. Implement various teaching strategies to facilitate learning amongst diverse learners.3. Direct student musicians for band rehearsals and in small group lessons.4. Provide regular feedback to students and their families to encourage personal growth.5. Embrace student strengths and identity to create a learning environment that is highly engaging and relevant to students.6. Work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, related service providers, support staff, students, and families to ensure all students succeed.Minimum Qualifications:1. Must possess current NYS Certification in Music grades K-12.2. Ability to work with students/staff in varied social/cultural backgrounds.3. Experience working with secondary aged students.4.
