POSITION: Full-time Social Worker (2 positions) LOCATION: Watervliet Jr.-Sr. High School START DATE: April 17, 2023SALARY: Per Contract, starting $49,371 - $63,615Job Description:1. Promote social emotional education and positive school climate. 2. Provide school based counseling to address the social, emotional, mental health, and/or behavioral needs of individual students (including students who receive IEP/504 counseling services). 3. Engage students and families to reduce barriers that prevent academic success, including family outreach to maximize access to community based resources. 4. Consult and assist with school-wide multi-tiered systems of support and the development/ implementation of individual crisis, behavior, safety and attendance plans.5. Work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, school support staff, students and families to ensure students achieve success. Minimum Qualifications:1. Valid NYS Certification as a school social worker.2. Preferred candidates will have NYS clinical license or be working towards an LCSW.3. Ability to work with students/staff in varied social/cultural backgrounds.4. Ability to demonstrate job expectations.5.
