Please upload the following to the online application: Resumé Letter of Intent NYS Teaching Assistant certificate or NYS Teaching Certificate 3 letters of recommendation STATEMENT OF THE POSITION The Coordinator of Student Activities and Digital Communications assists in coordinating the student activity fund management, club governance, digital communications, and public engagement. The position oversees student activity finances, assists with district website management, social media, ParentSquare communications, and promotion of extracurricular programs while ensuring compliance with Board policy and New York State requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Student Activity Fund Administration Administers all student activity fund accounts for grades 5–12. Processes deposits, disbursements, purchase orders, reimbursements, and reconciles accounts. Maintains accurate financial records and monitors account balances. Ensures compliance with district purchasing procedures and Board policy. Financial Reporting and Compliance Prepares monthly and annual financial reports. Participates in audits and implements corrective actions. Ensures compliance with NYS Education Law, Comptroller regulations, and GAAP. Student Club Governance Supports establishment of new clubs and maintains constitutions and bylaws. Provides guidance to advisors and student officers. Coordinates officer elections and transitions. Digital Communications Maintains the district website and school webpages. Manages ParentSquare and district social media platforms. Coordinates emergency and routine district communications. Promotes student accomplishments, athletics, arts, and extracurricular programs. Community Engagement Coordinates communications with community organizations and program partners. Develops promotional materials and maintains event calendars. Supports district branding and public information efforts. Other Duties Maintains confidentiality and complies with FERPA and NYS Education Law §2-d. Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee. QUALIFICATIONS, BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Computer Science, Information Resource Management, Microcomputer Technology or related field; Associate's degree with significant related experience considered. Experience with bookkeeping, financial reporting, website management, or public communications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and website content management systems. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Twelve (12) months, Watertown Instructional Teacher Assistants Association-affiliated position. EOE.
