The Watertown City School District is searching for an Algebra/Geometry Success Coach/Teacher. This person should be certified in Mathematics (7-12) and will provide direct support to students in Algebra, focusing on instruction for students who qualify for Tier III support. Instruction will be provided to two groups of students. Each group will have one period/day of Algebra classroom instruction and one period/day of Algebra Lab instruction. Algebra Lab instruction will be focused on pre-teaching and reinforcement of Algebra concepts. This role expands student access to learning loss recovery professionals, enhancing staff and student capacity to address learning loss, and implementing culturally and linguistically responsive math programs. Interested candidates should provide a letter of intent, resume, proof of certification, 3 letters of recommendation and transcripts with the on-line application. Responsibilities:Mastering Algebra, Algebra Extended, and Geometry curriculum.Providing classroom instruction and small group coaching in a laboratory setting.Developing Tier III support interventions for struggling students.Developing and sharing weekly communications with students, families, and other instructional staff.Drafting and sharing materials to support spiral review.Drafting and sharing student support materials, such as daily guided notes.Collaborating with other 7-12 mathematics teachers to coordinate instructional approaches.Participating in Math Department meetings to address common challenges.Organizing a Summer Bridge math program and advising transition programs.Serving on the Program Advisory Committee and meeting weekly with the Home School Coordinator.Working with the Home-School Coordinator to address attendance issues.Logging data in City Span for outcome analysis and funding documentation.Providing Progress Reports to the MTSS Coordinator ** This a is grant-funded position
