The Watertown City School District has an opening for a Building Maintenance Worker. The hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, weekdays. This is a full-time position with health benefits. EOEThis is semi-skilled work involving responsibility for the independent performance of a variety of mechanical and other building maintenance tasks or for serving as a helper to a journey- level trades worker. Work also includes the operation of a truck or other light automotive equipment incidental to normal work assignments. General instructions are received from a superior and work is performed under general or immediate supervision depending on the nature of the task. The incumbent does related work as required. Examples of Work: (Illustrative Only)Participates in general grounds maintenance activities.Assists in snow removalOperates automotive equipment incidental to work assignmentsPerforms basic maintenance and repair to lawn mowers, snow blowers and related equipment.Repairs and replaces windows, doors, floors, walls roofing and other parts of buildings.Performs semi- skilled masonry, carpentry and painting work.May perform other duties as assigned.Applicant must have and maintain an excellent attendance record, as well as the ability to work independently or as a team. Must get along well with others. It is preferred that the applicant have a CDL license.
