Wantagh School District is seeking a caring and dedicated security aide to patrol and protect students, personnel, buildings and grounds. Hours: Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Essential Duties (include, but not limited to): • Monitor school grounds, buildings, and entrances to ensure the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors • Assist in visitor management and building access control • Act quickly and efficiently in emergency situations • Enforce school policies and procedures regarding safety and security • Collaborate with administrators, staff, and law enforcement when necessary • Other duties as required Requirements: • Must hold a current NYS Security Guard License • Must have prior law enforcement experience • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • NYSED K-12 Fingerprint clearance
