Required Qualifications NYS Department of Education Physical Therpaist License Master’s/Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy Position Details The Wantagh UFSD is seeking a dynamic, engaging, and thoughtful Physical Therapist to fill a full-time probationary position. The successful candidate should: Develop and implement individualized evidenced based and goal driven treatment plans tailored to each child’s developmental needs Serve as the Physical Therpaist at CSE meetings for students, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the CSE process, referral and evaluation processes and IEP development. Participate as a member of the school based Child Study Team. Provide therapy to improve gross motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, and functional mobility Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including session notes and attendance records Monitor and collect data on IEP goals and submit quarterly progress reports and annual review reports Provide education and ongoing communication to families and educators regarding a child’s progress Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support and student success
