The district, located just 25 miles east of New York City in Wantagh, NY, includes three elementary schools (K-5), one New York State Essential Elements School to Watch middle school (6- 8), and one National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence high school (9-12).The Wantagh UFSD is seeking a skilled, engaging, and dynamic Orchestra teacher for our elementary program with the following qualifications:Responsible for the elementary orchestra program including lessons for each group for grades 3-5.Strong string pedagogy a must (including secondary instrument)Strong piano sills idealAbility to integrate technology into the Music classroomFlexible, dependable, and highly organizedBe involved with school and community activities outside of the classroomStrong classroom management skillsAbility to work effectively as a team member with colleaguesMust have NYS Music Certification and K-12 fingerprint approval
