Speech Substitute TeacherThe Wantagh School District is seeking a Speech Substitute Teacher to start immediately.QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrate experience in utilizing research-based speech and language intervention strategies.Successful experience as a school-based speech and language therapist.Knowledge and experience in special and general education, pedagogy, and assessment (including data analysis).Able to administer, analyze and score standardized assessments to generate the necessary reports and recommendations. Provides mandated speech and language therapy for students as described on each student's IEP.Able to develop and monitor IEP goals and objectives.Serve as the Speech and Language Pathologist at CSE meetings for students, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the CSE process, referral and evaluation processes and IEP development.Maintains IEP compliance, student files and rosters for the school team.Participate as a member of the school-based Child Study Team.Develops and implements intervention strategies. Certification/Experience: NYS Speech and Language Disabilities Certification Previous experience as an SLP preferred.Apply on OLAS
