School Psychologist - LeaveThe Wantagh UFSD is seeking a School Psychologist for a leave in one of our elementary schools. Position will be from December through March.Essential Performance Responsibilities:Conducts psychological assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students for the purpose of recommending courses of action or corrective procedures to maximize learning and overcoming psychological issues.Experience in administering and scoring psychological evaluations.Writing reports that include a synthesis of evaluative information and recommendations aligned to students’ performance.Conducts individual or group sessions for students.Ability to effectively facilitate group decision making processes to meet the needs of the student.Knowledge of current federal and state regulations governing CSE and Section 504.Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.The ability to complete re-evaluations as part of the triennial process for IEPs.The ability to provide counseling mandates, complete initial evaluations, present at CSE meetings, work with a district team of psychologists, etc.Proper NYS certification
