The Whitesboro Central School District Board of Education invites you to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The District has approximately 3,000 students enrolled in grades K-12. Together with our community, the Whitesboro Central School District provides a dynamic, comprehensive program committed to relevant, engaging, individualized experiences, while fostering a culture of personal and professional growth in a safe, diverse, positive learning environment.Qualifications:Possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certification as a School District Administrator (SDA).Be a visionary leader.Have organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work with a highly committed leadership team and faculty to achieve improved student results.Have a strong commitment to academic excellence.Have a strong background in curriculum, instruction and assessment.Possess skill in supervision and motivating professional staff and other employees of the school district.Have a proven record of leadership in positions of increasing responsibility.Communicate effectively.Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead and work cooperatively with district personnel, advisory councils, community groups, agencies, and employers.
