This Teacher Center Director .5, (10 month) position, with 10 additional work days over the summer, will start on or about August 1, 2023.Qualifications - The following criteria are desirable:Education: Permanent Teacher or Professional Teaching Certification.Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.Experience in computers and technology integration education.Background in curriculum.Leadership experience: ie., committee chair, organization officer, short-term administrative duties, directorships, etc.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong public relation skills.Duties and Responsibilities: The Director will be responsible for all criteria articulated in the New York State Teacher Center Director's Guide for Roles and Responsibilities which includes, but is not limited to, the following items:Implements program policy as directed by the Policy Board.Reports to the Policy Board on budget, effectiveness of Center, and program recommendations. Develops and coordinates programs, workshops, and resources to address professional development needs as identified by the Policy Board, and District through their interactions with colleagues, workshop evaluations and District goals.Manages use of facilities, equipment, resources and materials.Maintains records of participation.Develops networks with other teacher centers.Attends all Statewide and Regional Network meetings.
