Number of Positions: 1Salary: $45,000-$50,000, commensurate with experienceLocation: Ballard Road Conference Center, Wilton, NYWork Hours: M-F; 7:30-3:30This position will be responsible for duties connected to the Home Education Support Service of the WSWHE BOCES. Primary duties will include facilitating the collection and review of required Homeschooling forms as per Commissioner's Regulations 100.10. Program management responsibilities will be critical to this position. There is latitude for a range of independent judgment within established guidelines and procedures. The position will be responsible for using the Google Suite, including Google Forms and Sheets, to collect forms such as Letters of Intent, Individualized Home Instruction Plans (IHIP), Quarterly Reports and Annual Assessments. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Executive Director for Technology and Business Operations of School Support Services. The incumbent does related work as required.Keeps track of all district and parent deadlines related to Home Instruction in New York State as outlined in the Commissioner's Regulations Part 100.10;Uses knowledge of education and curriculum to review paperwork and communicate with parents/guardians if the submitted forms do not meet the requirements;Maintains the Home Education Support Resource website which includes key information regarding requirements, sample forms and other resources for home educating families;Creates a process for obtaining required documents from parents/guardians; Organizes workflows to provide participating school district administrators with real-time access to submitted forms and provides quarterly updates;Develops a working rapport with parents/guardians to assist them with questions regarding the Home Education process;Organizes necessary annual mailings to parents related to Home Education in New York State; Produces high-quality reports and communications related to all aspects of the Home Education process in New York State. Minimum Qualifications Possession of bachelor’s degree or higher in education, liberal arts, business or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in data processing; ORPossession of an associate degree in education, liberal arts, business or a closely related field and one (3) years of experience in data processing; ORGraduation from high school or high school equivalency and five (5) years of experience year of experience in data processing.Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply
