Program: Human Resources/Personnel Development and ImprovementLocation: Ballard Road Conference Center, Wilton, NYPosition Status: Full-timePosition Start Date: July 1, 2022Minimum QualificationsGraduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the NYS Board of Regents to grant degrees with a master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the NYS Board of Regents to grant degrees with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field and one (1) year of paid experience in Human Resources, orGraduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the NYS Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Associates’ degree in Business Administration, Human Resources and two (2) years of paid experience in Human Resources.Essential Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesGood knowledge of employment laws, human resource practices and procedures, certified and civil service requirements; ability to interview applicants, ability to determine recruitment needs; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to synthesize information and apply knowledge to new situations; ability to multitask and manage workload; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment; extensive expertise with computer software utilized in HR and data management functions (eg Microsoft excel work; google products and custom HR management systems). Assertive; dependable; resourceful; shows leadership; uses good judgment initiative and professionalism; good physical condition commensurate with the requirements of the position.Note: Vacancies are filled by a certified list provided by Washington County Civil Service. Should no certified list be available, candidates appointed to this position will be serving in a provisional appointment in accordance with New York State Civil Service Law. The candidate must successfully complete a competitive examination and be eligible for appointment in accordance with Civil Service Law and the Civil Service Rules for Washington County to obtain a permanent appointment.
